Riverplains Farm to Table Dinner

This farm to table dinner will feature a lovely summer dinner under the stars featuring ingredients sourced and grown in Jefferson county and prepared by Jennifer Niceley and Anna Niceley Barreiro. The evening will begin at 7:00 with cocktails. Dinner will be served at 8:00. Each of the 2 savory courses will be paired with wine to be followed by dessert. Purchase tickets here. The menu will be as follows: Chilled tomato and cucumber dill bisque with a Hickory Cane corn muffin Grass Fed Hamburger with Feta on whole spelt bun -- topped with tomato chutney and a variety of pickles to choose from. The burger will be served with grilled watermelon salad and fresh succotash Lemon-vanilla custard topped with wild blackberry sauce and berries Riverplains has been a working farm for many years and part of the Niceley family since the early 1940's. The farm is located in Jefferson County and surrounded on two sides by the Holston river. For decades the farm was an active dairy and recently Jennifer Niceley and her family began producing dairy products, vegetables, and spelt flour for friends and family. Everything on the menu will come from the farm except for the spices and our adult beverages! The spices will be supplied by Three Rivers Market! The ride will be about 30 miles along beautiful backroads. A return shuttle will be provided by our friends at Green Car and Courier.
