It’s about that time. Old timers at home always said on Valentines Day you can put your peas in the ground. You can also start radishes, arugula, and chard. I have three vegetable beds in my front yard, one day the whole thing will be vegetables. I went crazy on beet seeds at the end of last year, I have 4 different kinds right now. Can’t wait to get those and the chard in the ground! Then before we know it it will be tomato time.

Even if you can’t start planting now it is generally agreed that ordering seeds and planning your garden is a great way to fight the winter blues. My current order consists of zinnias, dahlias, more chard, more snap peas, a couple kinds of radishes and more arugula. (these seeds are available for sale at the the Three Rivers Market)
